Do research at Constellation (Berkeley), Technology and Security Policy Center or Meselson Center at RAND (US, Europe or remote), MATS Program (Berkeley), FAR.ai (Berkeley), Anthropic (Berkeley, London or remote), Apart Labs (remote), GovAI (remote, currently only research assistant roles are open)
Take a course on AI alignment or governance, or skill up in cybersecurity with well-regarded certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials, OSCP Penetration Testing, and Certified Ethical Hacker
Pursue advanced degrees at institutions like the Pardee RAND Graduate School
